Gluten Free Apple Crisp | Easy Dessert Recipe

Apple crisp is a dessert that I really like to make and is a great substitute for my favorite Dutch apple pie. I like it because it has such a similar flavor, with less calories. If you like Dutch apple pie I would really recommend this recipe to try.
In this recipe the muesli ingredient was inspired by Nancy She mentioned this product to me, in the past, and I have been enjoying it ever since.

Gluten Free Apple Crisp

4 Apples of your choice (I used Jonagold Apples)
1/3 cup Margarine (Shedd’s Spread Country Crock)
1/2 cup Brown Sugar (Organic Coconut Palm Sugar)
2 cups Gluten Free Meusli (Bob’s Red Mill)
1/2 cup Gluten Free All-Purpose Flour (Bob’s Red Mill)
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt

Wash and peel apples
Cut apples into thin slices
Grease the baking pan with a very small amount of the margarine
Spread apples across the pan
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
Combine the rest of the ingredients into a medium sized bowl
Blend with a spoon or fingers (it works best when blending with fingers)
Spread evenly on top of sliced apples
Bake for 30 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
