Don’t think that healthy eating means giving up on dessert. There is a whole universe out there of fabulous desserts that are sugar free, dairy free, and oil free…and are actually good for you!
I was out for dinner earlier that evening and the gelato shop was calling to me… so instead I quickly ran home, made some chocolate-avocado-banana mousse, and felt fantastic.
This is one of my favorites, because it is SUPER EASY to make.
1 frozen ripe banana
1 avocado (peeled and pitted)
2tbsp raw cacao powder or cocoa powder (add more for chocolatier taste)
2tbsp soy milk or almond milk (adjust to get desired consistency of mousse)
Optional: mint leaves, cinnamon, vanilla, or other flavorings.
-Buy a bunch of bananas, wait till they have black spots on them, peel the bananas, and then freeze them in a ziplock bag.
-Add more dates and/or honey or maple syrup to make this sweeter
-A tiny sprinkle of salt can also really bring out the flavor of the chocolate
